She is worth far more than rubies.
What a description to live up to!
And yet this is what the business woman and work at home mum is worth to her family. Women today crave to return home to care for their families and use their skills to contribute to the household income and yet so many feel it eludes them. Kathie gives women permission to return home and shares with the reader how she did exactly that, bringing up 5 daughters, while establishing a new industry, using skills she’d developed in the corporate world for over 20 years.
She believes that women today can do what their ancestors did – work at home and care for the family, returning to old-fashioned values and using modern day skills. Concern for the welfare of our children, plus escalating costs of childcare makes this book a ‘must read’ for all mothers who want to be a ‘work at home mum’ and be there for their families.

Worth more than Rubies is a must read for every woman who values the importance of God, family and work (in that order). I found so much of myself in Kathie’s book. She clearly explains how her faithfulness, commitment, trials and tribulations carried her through to her earthly reward—to be a work-at-home-mom. Through her words, you can witness the testimony of God’s love and promise. His Word promises that He will never leave nor forsake us
and and He wants to give us the desires of our hearts.
I highly recommend Worth More than Rubies as affirmation of the true power of prayer and faith.

An inspirational read, just goes to show you can do anything you want to, and not let family be an excuse for not achieving your dreams. Let them be the reason instead.
Hi Kathie
I really got stuck into your book on the weekend and am finding it wonderfully thought provoking. I’m enjoying every bit! My lovely husband read the front cover and said “why are you reading that, you are already worth more than any gem!” I had just been reading a part where you were expressing how wonderful and supportive your husband is and how you compliment each other often. It was wonderful timing!
You are such an inspiration and I truly believe that even though working from home was a tough choice to make, I’ve done the right thing. I see the benefits every time I can stop work to pay attention to my 4 year old, every time I can have a lovely dinner waiting for my husband, every time I see how much happier and relaxed my family is now that we aren’t all so rushed and stressed. It’s been a blessing!
Warm regards
Susan
