Written by Lisa Bevere this is definitely a book for women who find it difficult being a woman or are anxious about their place in society. So many women today think they have to ‘fight’ on the same terms as men in the corporate world and everywhere else in order to achieve and find their place in life. That is not the truth and Lisa shares with the reader just how things should be, taking them back to the very beginning of time, when Adam and Eve were created.
In ‘Fight Like A Girl’ we are given permission to be feminine and to celebrate the very values and potential that God placed within each one of us. Definitely a thought-provoking read and one I recommend to all.
I saw Lisa in action at the Every Woman Conference, at Oxford Falls Sydney in 2007 and was taken by her voraciousness in her topic - she is on a quest to help women take back what belongs to them - their femininity and their rightful role in life as nurturers, carers, and daughters of God.

Hi Kathie,
We are going to be using this book for a ladies Bible study at our church, and I was going to take a look and see what it was all about a little later this evening, after “blog hopping”, and what do I find, but your post
Now I am wondering if it is more for woman who work, I’m going to take a closer look!
God bless,
Claudia
It’s suitable for any woman Claudia - women who are in jobs and women not in jobs. Definitely worth doing the study - there’s a DVD with Lisa speaking too for each section.
I wasn’t that thrilled by this book. Hard to explain why, but it just didn’t “grip” me. But maybe that’s just me - it might be incredibly meaningful to somebody else, and from what I’ve heard, it is!
Thanks for this lovely list of books….will keep bookmarked!
